A truely Green Wedding

Oh yes... Earth Day has arrived!  Have an Earth Friendly Wedding with some cute favor ideas that will not only make your guests happy... but it would make the world happy :)

#1: Give a tree!
The National Arbor Day Foundation makes it simple to give trees out to their brides.  Trees are brought to you in a recyclable plastic container that they will even customize a label for you.

#2: Bee-utiful Candles
Illuminate your table with Beeswax candles that can be purchased from beau-coup.com.  These candles are formed into a honeycomb with an accent of a realistic looking bee. Not only are they a great favor for your guests... but they are entirely eco-friendly!
#3: Eco-friendly Poppers
Go out in style with these biodegradeable party poppers.  They won't leave too much of a mess since they dissolve...compared to the rice and seed alternative. Thus, this equals more time to party!!! :) Find these at beau-coup.com.

WAIT!!!! There's more for our Eco-conscious brides! How about a wedding dress?

According to the Oko-Organic-Clothing website,  Designer Rene Geneva is just one of the many makers of organic wedding gowns.  Materials such as hemp, organic cotton, and eco silk combine together to make the dress eco-friendly as well as provides a high end look for the bride!

Luck of the Irish: Go Green!

In light of St. Patrick's Day, we thought we would share a few wedding day traditions from Ireland. Men, Prepare the Kilts!

Fun Fact: Today is the Luckiest Wedding Anniversary Date in Ireland

Wedding Day Traditions in Ireland

Bride and Groom may need to wear padding for this tradition: An old Irish tradition calls for the wedding couple to walk to the church together before exchanging their wedding vows. As they walk down the main street to the chapel, onlookers would not only throw rice to bless the marriage, but larger items as well, such as pots and pans.  ( watch out! )

The traditional Irish bride often wears a blue wedding dress, rather than a white dress. This is because blue symbolized purity in ancient times. Something blue? "Check". It wasn’t until the year 1499 that a white wedding dress began to symbolize virginity and purity.

English lavender, an ancient symbol of love, loyalty, devotion and even luck is often mixed with the bride’s wedding flowers to help insure a happy and long-lasting union

Nix any bad hair days with this next tradition: Braided hair is an ancient symbol of feminine power and luck. Braided hair is an emerging trend because it represents classic elegance.

The groom  might even consider wearing a kilt and asking his groomsmen to do likewise. Kilts, because they represent a particular family/ tribe, bring not only a general cultural theme into a wedding, but also a very personal family heritage. A somewhat dying art, there are only about five kilt makers in all of the United States and it takes about ten hours to make a kilt.

Happy Anniversary to all of the Lucky Couples to share St. Patty's Day as their Wedding Anniversary

Interactivity at its Finest

I couldn't help but wonder, "Wii games at a corporate event?" But as I saw the party-goers form lines to be next up in an intense game of "wii sports", I knew this interactivity among guests was going to be an emerging trend! After a long day of workshops, meetings and luncheons; this is the perfect escape. Players can form teams or compete individually, but this option allows them to interact not only with an amazing form of technology, but also with each other. In a crowded room full of unfamiliar faces, this is the perfect ice-breaker!
At your next corporate event, set up a Wii game and watch as the inner child comes out in everyone!
